All classes are guided in a safe and enjoyable setting. The intention of each class is to bring awareness and balance to both body, mind & soul and to utilize these principles in everyday living.
YOGA CLASSES
Yoga Basics for Beginners
In this 5 week session we will explore some of the basic foundational yoga poses along with variations for each pose. We will also discuss the many benefits of yoga including a brief look at the history and philosphoy of yoga to bring a better understanding as to what yoga is. Each week we will build upon the previous class by adding more poses and variations as well as introducing other principles of yoga such as pranayama(breath work). By the end of this 5 week session, we will have developed a complete, basic, gentle yoga class from start to finish. This session will give you the basic skills and knowledge of what to expect from most any yoga class and will allow you to move forward and participate in other yoga classes with confidence and ease.
PLEASE NOTE - Although this is a gentle, light hearted, slower paced class, it is always important to check with your doctor before starting any new exercise/fitness program.
Just bring your yoga mat if you have one. If not, mats are available to borrow.(Cleaned and disinfected as per AHS guidlines)
CHAIR YOGA
This gentle yoga class focuses on basic yoga poses with modifications for all levels of mobility using a chair. Poses and stretches are performed with a chair as an aid to help with balance and mobility. During this hour we will explore all aspects of a gentle yoga class including breath work, poses & stretches and relaxation. This class is designed to inspire joy & gratitude while cultivating balance and peacefulness both inside and out.

Stretch & Basics
This class incorporates basic yoga poses and stretches. Each class incorporates the fundamentals of all yoga classes: breath, asanas(poses), and relaxation. A safe and enjoyable class for all levels of fitness. Great class for beginners.
Yoga Flow Lite - All Levels
Introduces basic gentle flow principles. This class incorporates basic yoga poses and stretches in a gentle flow setting. Teachings include many variations and modifications for poses & stretches, which makes this a great class for all levels.
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga classes are a series of yoga poses held for an extended period of time in order to work deep into the joints and connective tissues of the lower body. Poses are usually held for 2-5 minutes. In this class we will use props to help support our bodies in each pose. The use of props allow us to comfortably and safely relax into each pose while releasing tension from the joints and tissues deep within. YIn yoga promotes a general sense of overall well being. This class is designed for all levels of ability. Props will be supplied. *All Props are sanitized and disinfected as per AHS guidlines.*
YIN/YANG FLOW
Yin & Yang yoga is a blend of two different practices that benefits body, mind & soul.
Yin yoga is a cooling practice of gentle passive poses and stretches held for an extended period of time to stretch deep into the ligaments, joints and tissues of our bodies. Yang yoga is a more warming, energetic practice that includes dynamic flow sequencing with standing poses and balances.
When we blend both yin and yang styles we cultivate balance both inside and out.
This class begins with a gentle yin practice to calm and relax both the body & mind, followed by the gentle yet active “yang” flow to help heat up our bodies and increase muscle strength & energy.
This class will leave you feeling energized, relaxed and peaceful.

Power Yoga
This athletic approach to yoga is the next step in Power Yoga Lite. The class starts with Sun Salutations A & B, followed with an energizing flow designed to create body heat which increases mobility, flexibility and strength. The class intensity will vary depending on the flow of the group.
Great for all levels.
Ashtanga Level 1 (modified primary series)
Beginner to intermediate level Ashtanga yoga class. This class is similar to Power Yoga yet it reaches beyond. Ashtanga yoga emphasizes that the postures are done in a specific progressive sequence or series. This class focuses on the fundamentals such as the ujjayi breath, bandha locks and the specific sequence of postures.
KIDS YOGA
In this class we will explore the 3 main aspects of yoga in a fun, supportive, non-competitive environment.
Some of the main benefits are increased flexibility, muscle strength as well as better balance, focus and concentration. In addition we will discuss and implement healthy and positive stress and anxiety coping mechanisms for their active and busy lifestyles.
We will also focus on connection with ourselves, others and our world around us. This is a light hearted and fun class that promotes and instills overall well-being through a variety of creative movement activities, games and individual, partner and group activities.
RESISTANCE TRAINING CLASSES
STRETCH & STRENGTH
Our bodies crave movement at all ages and stages and stretching & strengthening are key to keeping our bones, bodies and minds healthy. This class is taught in a safe and enjoyable setting, where participants will learn how to safely increase muscle strength and reduce bone loss with a variety of strength building exercises. In addition we will include some beneficial yoga poses and stretches to help keep our bodies and minds stay limber, healthy and happy.
This class is designed for all levels of ability!
Class can be performed standing or seated with the option of weights.
All weights provided(1 pound weights and up available depending upon fitness level)
Indoor shoes and comfortable clothes recommended.
Strength & Core with the BOSU®️ Ballast Ball - Small group classes
This class is designed to increase muscle strength, core stability, mobility and balance. As we age, resistance training has been proven to play an important role helping to increase muscle strength, improve balance as well as aiding to reducie the rate of bone loss. Utilizing the BOSU®️ Ballast Ball for core stability, we will incorporate free weights to target each of the major muscle groups. This is a fun energizing class designed for adults of ALL ages and all levels of fitness from beginners and up.
